This Privacy Policy explains what information Meridian collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the information you provide.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
• Trip information — the trips, flights, hotels, transfers, tickets, files and team members you add.
• Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we store only a customer reference and subscription status, never your full card details.
• Technical information — basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, to process payments, to enable sharing and team features you choose to use, and to keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI processing

When you use the “paste a confirmation” feature, the text you paste is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract travel details. This text is processed only to return results to you and is not used to train models.

4. Sub-processors

We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, including Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI extraction), and our hosting provider. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

5. Sharing

Information is shared only as you direct — for example when you invite a teammate, share a trip with a collaborator, or create a public share link. You control these and can revoke access.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to keep your account safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes.
